The Paul D'Auria Cancer Support Centre Centre produces the following publications in ethnic languages.

REDUCE YOUR CANCER RISK

Available in Bengali, Chinese, Gujarati, Punjabi, Tamil and Urdu.

This leaflet is targeted at everyone who is interested in reducing the risk of cancer. The leaflet:

• outlines what cancer is

• covers general aspects of lifestyle, health screening and body awareness

• is based on national health promotion guidelines.

The booklet is divided into two sections with one half in the language text and a flip side which has an English translation.

This leaflet is produced in partnership with Cancer Equality and Wandsworth Primary Care Trust, and is relevant across the UK.

UNDERSTANDING AND LIVING WITH CANCER

Available in Bengali, Chinese, Gujarati, Punjabi, Tamil and Urdu.

This booklet is for everyone who has been affected by cancer. It aims to provide practical and clear information outlining:

• what cancer is

• the different treatments for cancer (surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy)

• general details about living with cancer, including nutritional aspects.

The 54-page booklet is divided into two sections with one half in the language text and a flip side which has an English translation.

The booklet was produced as part of the Centre's Asian Information and Outreach Project in partnership with the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust and Cancer Equality. It is relevant across the UK.

AFTER TREATMENT – PHYSICAL WELLBEING

Available in Gujarati and Urdu.

This booklet is a guide written to provide information for people who have finished, or are about to finish treatment for primary cancer and focuses on the physical adjustments following finishing treatment.

Topics covered include day to day activities, work or study, exercise and body awareness and healthy eating.

The 56 page booklet is divided into two sections with one half in Gujarati or Urdu text, and a flip side which has an English translation.

The booklet was produced in partnership with the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust and it is relevant across the UK.

AFTER TREATMENT - EMOTIONAL WELLBEING

Available in Gujarati and Urdu.

This booklet is a guide to provide information for people who have finished, or about to finish treatment for primary cancer and focuses on the emotional impact following finishing treatment and tools for self support.

Topics include sleeping well, sexual difficulties, emotional and psychological adjustments, coping with anxiety and the use of complementary therapies.

The 40 page booklet is divided into two sections with one half in Gujarati or Urdu text, and a flip side which has an English translation.

The booklet was produced in partnership with the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust and it is relevant across the UK.
